Why do I make Lofi music? Lofi has been a great genre to explore and build a foundation in. I really enjoy writing guitar riffs, and putting those riffs to a groovy, chill beat has been a lot of fun.
Lofi is just fun in general. There is not a lot of pressure when recording a song, as the “imperfections” of the genre help shape what it is. There is a fine balance between crafting something special and also keeping some of the raw edge when recording; however, Lofi allows the artist to explore both sides of that line.
I have played in many projects over the years covering a variety of genres - Rock, Metal, Acoustic, Classical, Church Praise, and Latin Pop Rock. Lofi is something I feel that is a good place to be for what I want to do musically - play guitar for people to enjoy and help have a positive impact in their lives - to relax, chill, and be more productive.
